most if not all of the customers are slender, race varies, mostly whites but a mix of the others

In the distance I can also view the deli and bakery, whose customers are usually "husyk" or obese folk buying fried chicken.

I had one lady yell at me in my face because of the price of organic lettuce. She was a little to large to walk so she had one of those rascals. I said to her " Ma'am ,its organic, you pay a premium for something that doesnt contain pesticides, hormones or rapes the land its grown on. If you'd like I can point you towards the "normal" lettuce and possible to the canned cabbage if that is what you are looking for."

I cant stand angry, fat people.

where have all the jolly fat people gone?
Mean people suck.

But since size doesn't matter for payload computation, it is stupid not to account for payload mass and distance that the mass is carried

So charge passengers by ... $/(distance X mass)

Total Mass = passenger + carry-on + checked baggage. Distance is airport-to-airport.

In Bot-world, frequent fliers are skinny.

I like that idea, but forsee difficulty in enactment. Their rights, you know.
Can you imagine asking some overweight mama to get on the scale with folks in line behind her hoping to see if she rings the bell!
Maybe they'd annouce her weight in metric so most folks wouldn't know.
"Madam, your overweight charge is an additional 45.00. Would you like to pay for that with a credit card?".

I suppose they could have the person and his/her luggage weighed together to avoid embarrasment.

Yes, it's called the "Western Diet". I'm reading a book on the subject called "In Defense of Food". It talks about the Nutritionist movement, which focus's on indvidual nutrients rather than actual "food". Most "food" isn't really food, just "food-like" substances with added nutrients...Not done yet, so will save an opinion for later.

That's how fedex and UPS do it right? They don't seem to struggle financially.

I think, if you weigh under a certain weight you shouldn't have to pay higher ticket prices. If your added mass is muscle, then maybe we'll give you a break... but for those that are pure lard... forgetaboutit

From what I read, some airlines already charge people an extra ticket if they cannot fit into one seat....

I generaly want to tell most people at the store to go F themselves. Usualy all you have to do is look in someones shoping cart to see why they are the way they are. Be it pretty healthy or shot.

I just read "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by the same author. The section on corn, how it's mass produced, and what it ends up in was eye opening to say the least.

I used to live in Georgia and did notice the much smaller proportion of fat people here in Nevada. I'm 5' 2" and was getting close to 170 lbs for a while. In Georgia that's perfectly normal, but here it's not and I ended up doing something about it. Now I'm down to 145-150 depending on the day.

Cajun French. My bad. My kid has been in French Immersion since pre-K and has no problem with European, Canadian, and African dialects. But Cajun French drives her nuts.

I believe CT was the second least obese despite my best efforts to bring that number down.
