Looks like one of the three stores within a mile of me is closing, so now I will only have 2 stores within a mile of me, how sad. This one is located in a Top Food/Haggens Grocery store. By the looks of it, most of the stores closers in WA are in said store...

I've never even been in a Starbucks, but we're losing 3 locally, including one that opened less than 12 months ago.

Having never drank a cup of coffee in my 62 years kind of makes me not really care.

I'm not surprised about any of the Connecticut locations with the exception, of the Evergreen walk location.

Only one in DC.....hummm and not many in VA. Looks like WA, CA and TX will be hardest hit. I love my coffee in the morning but I'm not paying 4.00 a cup for it.

We have multiple coffee machines at the funeral home, including one that makes hot chocolate and whatnot, so I'll just keep drinking the free stuff.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to snatch up one of these recently closed stores, name it ‘buckeys or something similar, and open up a coffee shop and deli. You’d have a ready made customer base, a reasonable location, and Starbucks would likely need to leave most of the tenant improvements, so the cost of remodeling would be minimal.

I was extremely relieved last night to find that my Starbucks did not make the execution list. Not that I thought it would ... it's been around for a long time and always seems busy, so my guess would be it's far from "underperforming." I would have been crushed if it closed ... it's a big part of my daily routine.
