Kardashian Not Even Close to Breaking Record
While originally sentenced to 30 days behind bars for violating probation on a DUI charge, the reality star, Khloe Kardashian, has been released early from Lynwood's Century Regional Detention Center after serving just a few hours.
Kardashian was released at 1:29 p.m., bringing her total time in custody to four hours and 37 minutes.
Her extraordinarily early release can be credited to the facility's vast overcrowding, a correctional issue that also befitted past inmates Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan, who logged a paltry 82 and 84 minutes at the facility, respectively.
Kardashian was sentenced to the monthlong stay behind bars on July 3, when her attorney admitted in court that she had completed neither the alcohol-education program nor the 36 months' probation and community service that was mandated as part of her DUI sentence. Kardashian pleaded no contest to driving under the influence back in March 2007.
