Facebook Mistake

I don't get it, isn't the dude supposed to be sentenced based on his crime and not his actions afterwards?

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jC-5mkxddsdwxCN5_DwfLq3RqPmwD920TQK00

Kind of reminds me of this case http://www.wfsb.com/news/14586093/detail.html

Hattie, do you know either of these dudes? He's about our age. That's people think dudes our age are wreckless but these are exceptions

Huh... being an unrepentive @ss isn't a crime. He got sentenced based on his moral character.

Hello Botnst, when it comes to the English language you are a stickler. I must say that you use the language with such ease and refinement.

Most employers nowdays look on Facebook and Myspace to see what kind of real person you are NOT just what you put on your resume. If you have anything stupid posted out there, they will find it. Employers also will look at public court records, at civil suits and driving records and criminal records. Isn't the information age great. I myself look up ALL KINDS OF STUFF on people. You would be surprised the kinds of things I can find out about everyone!

Actually, reckless is a form of a verb wreak, as in wreak havoc. It comes from the German verb wirken, which means to accomplish.

A reckless or wreckless person is one whoisn't smart enough to accomplish anything, he messes it up before he finishes.

The drunk driving statute gives the judge a range of penalties for each specific offense. If this young man had done something to show his remorse, you know that his defense attorney would be talking about it at sentencing. The opposite is also true. The judge looked at those pictures and concluded that he hadn't yet gotten through to this young man. So, he figured 2 years in prison should do the trick. This must not have been his first DUI, because 2 years is a tough sentence.

And that is why my profile, pictures, and everything else are marked friends-only. You can't even find me if you aren't in my school's network.

A DUI causing injury will get you a solid three years in Michigan, thats just for starters. YMMV

Why would I know these morons? I don't live in RI.

They got what they deserve.

I never had a Facebook, or Myspace page, and I never will. My friends all took theirs down to avoid looking bad when trying to get a job.

This is why I don't put my first or last name or any "professional" e-mail address on Myspace. Yes, I have a Myspace account. I know, such a loser! I only have friends that I have met in person or are real friends. Maybe one exception. There isn't any bad or crazy stuff in there, but I just like people not knowing more than what I'm willing to reveal to them. I'm a very private person. I have been able to find some fellow coworkers' Myspace site using first and last name or sometimes their e-mail, hehe. Of course, I'm not gonna send them a msg. I think some people want their Myspace found because they want to let others know how cool or weird they are.

I have a clean myspace page (which I dont ever go on, due to my chick gettin all bratty about) and deleted my facebook 2 years ago. . .I always kept it clean because you never know who is looking, even if it is on private. you never know who knows who and can access your page. This especially true when you work for the federal government, that kind of shyt can get you in trouble thats a real PITA to straighten out. . .
