Mercedes 600 on Top Gear

I knew that Clarkson had a 600 but tonight they featured it.

On the W126s with city and country horns, I assume the country horn is similar?

Not as loud on the w126s - it's just a different tone. I think the 600s horn is so loud because it's most likely vacuum operated and not electric.

My wife saw me watching that Top Gear on the 600 and said - "That's really cool. Why don't you buy one of those?" Gotta love that woman...

Where can one obtain such a horn? I've wanted a euro-fanfare horn forever....but have never been able to find one. My friend's mom had one on her 1985 280te euro.....that thing would make your ears fold shut and skin peel off!.... Most horrifying sound ever!

Are you sure the 600's horn isn't hydraulic? Everything else is...
