Where to get motor brushes?

Does anyone know where I can buy replacement motor brushes? I opened up my cheap rotary tool and one of the brushes has snapped in half. I doubt the manufacturer provides anything, but if I can find a place that sells them locally, I'm pretty sure I can find one that fits...

ACE hardware has a selection of carbon brushes. They might not have the exact size you need, but the material is such that you can buy the nearest oversize and file it down to fit.

Yes. Any old style full service hardware store should have them. My local Mclendons has boxes and boxes of them. I don't know who is the good old hardware store in your area but there should be one. If they sharpen saws and fix chain saws etc. then they will probably have motor brushes also.
