Why have eggs and milk increased less than fuel? It looks like the cost of eggs and milk has dropped relative to median income.

I'm thinking it's factory farming and the fact that the government is slowly getting out of the business of propping up agricultural commodity prices (except for corn).

I think I saw eggs for 79 cents a dozen at the local grocery store the other day. Milk has finally broken 3 bucks a gallon here.

I went through the different years on that site and inflation looks like it must have been really bad in the 70's. I was too young to notice.
