Headed to Ohio tomorrow!
Well, I'm off to Ohio tomorrow morning for the annual experimental helicopter fly-in held in Hillsboro, near Cincinnatti. If anyone is in the area this weekend, I'd love to have you down to meet and eat or whatever.
I'm also planning a trip to Dayton to the Air Force Museum on Thursday if someone is up for it. Here are some directions to the ranch: From the Cincinnati area: Take US 50 East from I 275 on the East Side of Cinn. Follow US 50 for approx. 25 mi. In the little town of Dodsonville, turn right just after the intersection of Rte.134 onto County Hwy. 58 (Dawson Rd). A yellow Helicopter Meet sign may be here. Go almost 1 mi. and take a Left on County Hwy. 32 (Tedrick Rd.) Go about 1 mi. on Tedrick then turn Right on Hastings. Bell air ranch is approx. ½ mi. on the Right. From the Columbus area: Take I 71 South to the US 35 exit. Turn Left and follow US 35 East for Approx. 10 mi. Exit and turn Right on US 62 South. Follow US 62 South for about 25 mi. to the town of Hillsboro. In Hillsboro, take a Right on US 50 West. About 8 mi. outside town, Look for County Hwy. 55. (Abernathy Rd. There's a brick building on the Left corner and a yellow Helicopter Meet sign may be here.) Turn Left on Abernathy, go about 1.3 miles and turn Right on County Hwy. 32 (Tedrick Rd.) Go about 1 mi. on Tedrick then turn Left on Hastings. Bell air ranch is approx. ½ mi. on the Right. GPS coordinates are: 6275 Hastings Rd. Hillsboro, OH 45133 N 39 deg 10' 50.4" W 83 deg 46' 58.9" I won't be on the computer too much I don't believe but who knows, we may have a connection... :D |
Well, headed to Dayton today to the Air Force Museum. If anyone wants a picture of your favorite plane, let me know... :)

That must be a pretty cool show! Unfortunately I'm no where near it. :( I've always wanted to learn how to fly a helicopter ever since my uncle brought me for a ride in a ANG Huey when I was a kid. Someday time and funds will permit. I hope.:)

Get pictures of all the old war birds...from the good war.;) |
Kar-Hope you have a great time and take photos to post when you get back.

I have internet service from the hotel so here's some warbird shots. Since I can assume most people here are interested in German stuff and Mercedes, I'll focus on those...
