Anyone get a letter from the Airlines?

Huh... I don't know what to think. It's a letter signed by all the CEO's of all the major airlines asking us to help end oil speculation.

I smell a red herring because it ain't speculation causing high fuel prices, it's the limp friggin' dollar. Jeeze, barely four years ago AUD and CAN $$ were discounted ~30% and today we're at parity with them Gawds sake.

CEOs are supposed to be smarter than that.

Sounds like the response in this thread was to an email of the same letter:

Funny you brought that up. I did get an e-mail and an automated phone call from Mid West telling me that there has been a change in our flight in September. They gave me a phone number to call, but the one time I did get an answer, they said the wait would be over ONE HOUR. I have tried e-mailing them, but they say the only way to find out is to call. I hope I can get through before September.

Ha

Let's send them a letter asking them to make flying pleasant and comfortable again.

I'm sure they'd be happy to do that for twice the current price of a ticket =)

I am flying to GA. in October for a friend's wedding and looked at prices on Air-Tran. I can book now for around 277.00 but the there is a clause the length of my arm stating that the price could rise and I would be charged accordingly unless I fly business class in which case the price would remain the same except for the luggage fee.
