What you think of this?

http://www.zillow.com/HomeDetails.htm?zprop=2143791712

We have been looking at homes, as we are thinking of downsizing, and that popped up....

What you guys think of that style of home? Anyone have a house with that style?

damn dude

i like the grapes in the yard... yet its in the city and not on a vineyard. I don't see how those grapes could be worth the cost and effort to harvest them. I bet you would have to pay someone to come harvest them just so you can have grapes in your yard. ether that or have it smell like one of the worst smells i've smelled. rotting grapes... that a powerful smell. it out powers the smell of rotting fish... i grew up in Lake County... we had both kinds of rot when i was a kid.

Check out what that money could get in Texas.

With what my house is worth in the Northeast, I could get a 20 acre ranchette with out buildings in Texas.

I live on less than 2 acres here and my only out building is my 2 car garage with 2 car shed/attachment.

A family friend sold their house out here in my area for something like $2.5 million..... They moved to Texas, and bought a huge house, tons of land, and still have money left over.

Don't like the style. Love the yard. Would give anything for a yard like that, except that I have nothing to give...

I've owned a house of that caliber - since my ex wouldn't even consider owning a "used" house. Meh - not worth the time, effort, or insanity. No matter how much it claims to be "unique" it's different just like all the others. Boring!

Much rather buy oh I don't know, say two or three of these and bank the million or so in difference:

Seems like a decent price for the size home, and the amount of property that goes with it. As long as the neighborhood is decent.
