Fliers Complain About X-Rated Security Screenings
http://cbs2chicago.com/investigations/xrated.security.screenings.2.777423.html
In Chicago, people like Robert Perry are subjected to exhaustive security checks. He was patted down, his wheel chair was examined and his hands were swabbed, all in public view in a see-through room at the security checkpoint. Perry, 71, is not alone. This is blatant abuse of power from what I see and I personally have faced this kind of harassment quite a few times. |

They profile fellows like you.........but, they like wheelchair bound women as well.......... Personally, I'm on a mission to test how many miniature bottles of Vodka I can put in my attache case before they flag it for inspection. Apparently, three is fine........:D ...........the shoe inspections are getting a bit old............. |

Thank goodness Reid was a 'shoe bomber' and not a 'boxer bomber.'

Pretty soon we'll all have to wear those clothes that strippers wear when we go to the airport. It almost feels like I'm at the gym in the locker room now. You have to plan your wardrobe carefully for items with little or no metal in them, slip on shoes, no belt (I wait to put mine on after I arrive at my destination), minimal stuff in my pockets, etc.

OK. We have some bad incidents. Question. How many fliers do we have? Is this the case of a few bad apples or a rotten barrel?

I didn't have to much trouble with airport security when I flew to CA.
They need to concentrate on middle eastern looking people, they just pat down the old ladies so they don't get sued. |

Actualy it is because WE CAN'T PROFILE that this happens. We have to harass little old ladies so that Joe Terrorist can't claim that he was picked out ot the line of passengers due to profiling. |

Actually that is a good point. I think it is because if you have been handling explosives the residue will get on your shoes. I will have to ask the guys at TSA about this... |
Seems it's against the law to "tell it like it is", profiling works 99.99% of the time.
Not too many blond children or senior citizens blowing planes up. |
My wife works at an R&D facility with extremely tight security but you wouldn't know it if you walked in... or so they say. I played on a soccer team with the guy who was in charge of security there (ex mil or CIA or something) and he says he can get a bomb through airport security no problem. I asked him if I could sneak a bomb in to his building and he told me I'd be dead before I got within 200 feet of the building. :D

:D I can't wait until TSA gets to this point !! :D
Wont it be fun ?! (Hatt - I airbrushed what I thought would make it allowable. Sorry if it's still too far off.) Cheers - DJ |
