When my dear old dad backed into a police cruiser that was when he surrendered his keys. It was hard, he used to be a pilot.

My grandfather right up to the day he died was a good driver. Last time I drove anywhere with him last fall he was blasting down I95 at 80 with the XJ8. Not bad for early 80's.

When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep and not like the passengers in Grandpas car as he was driving them down the road

After the word "not" you are supposed to add "screaming bloody murder"

This is how you express remorse:

"I didn't know I hit him," ... "I feel terrible. . . . [But] he's not dead, that's the main thing"

Then there's the victim's side:

"Bob Novak is the one that hit me?" said 86-year-old Don Clifford Liljenquist, sounding astonished when WMAL (630 AM) reporter Troy Russell told him that the driver was Novak. "Well, everybody knows who Bob Novak is! He's a famous journalist! . . . I was struck by Bob Novak? . . . Well, I think that makes it a great story!"

Of course, Bob is having a "McCain" week with his VP selection leakage.

"I've since have been told by certain people that this was a dodge, they were trying to get a little publicity to rain on Obama's campaign,'' Novak told Fox. "That's pretty reprehensible if it's true, but we'll find out in a few days. "

I think a more relevant question for discussion is: Should an age limit be set for Corvette ownership? Furthermore, if an age limit is set, should each prospective owner be evaluated for mitigating factors to further lower the age limit, such as the presence of a comb-over, or a disquieting resemblence to Allen Funt?

Ah, the joys of the interweb:

I really hate jaywalkers. I despise them. Since I don't run the country, all I can do is yell at 'em. The other option is to run 'em over, but as a compassionate conservative, I would never do that.

Guess Who? in a 2001 interview.
