Yeah, the sound effects are definitely dubbed...especially since the in-car video gear seems to ably record incredibly crisp vehicle-crunching sounds!

And it's no wonder that every perp that wipes out does so with the same sound effects!

One of my favorite shows. Might order the new Continuum movie this week. Wonder why it's only being released on DVD, it would probably do good in theaters.

Put me down for a copy as well I was skeptical at first but The Ark of Truth turned out to be a fantastic film. I'm betting that Continuum with turn out even better.

Haven't seen the Ark movie and the reviews were so-so. Continuum was rated much better.

How 'bout movies with people portrayed as forgeiners that don't speak their own language but instead speak English with an "accent"?

There's been a lot of talk in this thread about "Airplane".
When Virgin airways was getting started, I was able to take a flight to London, and that was the in-flight movie.

But, they're kinda fun. Have made Depp the second highest bankable star after Will Smith.
Guilty pleasure is a central element in fiction. Think of all the violence portrayed as entertainment. Most humans are opposed to violence, except in entertainment where it is probably the #1 theme going back to the earliest writings.

I’m not sure when the cult of the celebrity entered the picture but it too has been a prevalent element for some time.
