Is it legal to ride in a towed vehicle?
 

If your towing a car behind another vehicle 4 wheels down, is it legal for someone to ride in that car? I've googled it and come across answers and state vehicle codes which state that it is illegal to ride in a trailer or in a car on a trailer, but in some states you can ride in a 5th wheel trailer. I found nothing that clearly addresses the question of whether it's ok to ride in a car towed by another car or truck.

We do it around here while drinking lots of beer and singing loudly.
