What I find amazing is that the cops had a standoff with the killer for several hours. There wasnt anyone on the bus that was alive or even had a head attached to their body so why not just shoot him?

I caught a bit of that on the news today. Just when you think you've heard everything. I'm sure Greyhound is loving the publicity.
Does make you wonder why they didn't just shoot the guy with uh . . . extreme prejudice.

I dunno. I've ridden with bus passengers that I've ultimately wanted to do the same thing to!

Obviously caused by the knife culture in Canada. When you have assault knives in every home (and multiple types), one has to expect this to happen. Worst, I heard most households don't lock their knives and there are no background checks before buying knives! How many innocent individuals must die before we pass common-sense knife reform?

Why can't we just adopt knife registration? I hope the District of Columbia will lead the way in sensible knife registration. . . .
This si why I never ride the bus. It really attracts a bad crowd.

My Word!!! I can't help but imagine what it must have been like for the victim to be woken up with a knife in the neck!!
I sincerely hope the victim died quickly and didn't have to endure the torture of having their head sawn off. I'm glad he didn't have a chance to hurt anyone else.

I agree with shooting him.

It can't be easy to fully decapitate someone if my primitive experience in butchering is any indication.

This might be a wake up call for the airline industry. Start serving free meals before someone decides to make a meal of the passenger.

You know what's strange about flying on airplanes now?
The utensils. They now give you a real butter knife and fork, but the spoon is still plastic. God only knows what a passenger can do if issued a real metal spoon....

I'll have to check but last time I flew, IIRC it was all plastic. If it were metal, you would have all kinds of problems. Now you have to clean it, sterilize it and rewrap it.
