bought another volvo
This one is a 1988 245 DL wagon. Its manual everything, five speed, leatherette seats, but very fun to drive and low miles at only 150K. So, I now have a 1988 244 DL, 1984 245 Turbo intercooler wagon, 1992 745 turbo and now a 1988 245DL. (in order of adoption into my family) I think I really have a problem LOL. Acutally not... the guy said that if I did not buy it he would turn it into a planter. Althogh, it is a complete base model, I almost like it better then my luxo 745, probably because of the five speed verses auto, It has been sitting for years, and the blue paint is polishing up quite nicely.

Cool. How do the Volvos shift?
There are a lot of people here who are always after manual tranny MBs but after driving a 190E 16V with a manual tranny I thought the shifter felt like crap. Had a plastic shifter and made nasty plasticy noises as you go through the gears.

Well, I think they are fine. However, I have driven them forever and ever! I learned how to drive a stick on one so. My only other comparision is BMW which tend to have slooppy bushing beyond 100k
