Car dealers are not the issue. Politicians are. You see, IF they are successful in the private sector and make big money, why would they want a govt position? Why would you want to take a pay cut and have all the hassles? A CEO is way more powerful in his company than a congressperson from the standpoint that they can do way more with less red tape. What can the govt do to induce them to work for it?

We didn't want Ross Perot when he ran. What we want is someone to tell us that with a little tweak here and a nudge there, life is good. We don't want anyone telling us how bad it is going to be. So, we get what we wanted.

Why do you think people like Cheney & Bush went from the oil business to government? To help out the oil business. Don't underestimate the power of government.

What experience did any previous presidents have before becoming POTUS?

Prestige maybe? They were taking a pay cut by being in govt. Also, wasn't Bush the Gov of Texas before this?

That pay cut won't matter. They will now have so many opportunities to earn much more than they ever did before, that they will easily make up the difference in just a few years.

This is always what happens. Don't think for a moment that taking a pay cut means that they live more poorly.

I realize that but I think that it won't make sense for someone like say Bill Gates to do it. He'd lose so much money. That is why I think they do it for the prestige.

I don't think Gates would win. His products are so well known, but nobody every sees the man. Instead, they have an irrational disregard for him.

Still, if he did enter politics, I think that the pattern would repeat itself, if he wanted. He would take a loss while he was actually in, then get gigs for a lot of money once he was out. Even speaking jobs like Bill Clinton.

Ah, but that is just it. He is a high tech guy. We are being shut out of manufacturing markets. What we need are high tech jobs where fewer places can compete with us. This will be the best guy. He has shown he can do business and understand the business world. But of course, just because we can use somebody like him doesn't make him as good as the guy with fluff. Hence, we have what we have running.

I would think that for what he makes an hour, he could pay someone to stand in for him as President. Speaking jobs? See above.

Free healthcare? Have you seen Europe? Have you been to Europe? People could not be more miserable! Taxed for everything they do. (I hate paying excessive taxes, a little is fine.)What gets me is just how many instances the tax money is wasted. How can a criminal who shoots a judge in the court during a trial still be fighting for his freedom? America is getting crappier.
Oh, and buy a big engined car if you have been planned to get one as they will all be extinct in the near future or at least come with a $10,000 V8, V10, V12 tax that Obama will make... AARRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
California needs to sink into the ocean! $1,000 fine for not sorting your recyclables correctly?! I believe in equal opportunity, not just equal everything no matter how little you contribute to society.
(These are only my opinions and rants.)
......

I am really interested in where your ideas come from ?
Seriously where do these ideas come from ?
They surely do not match up with any reality that I see.

Do they come from your local church ?
Are they just plain lies that you spew because you have hidden
agendas like , gays are evil , no gay marriage, and women should not
have a choice about having a child.

I really don't understand people who say things like you have.
Please help me understand your thoughts.

No, I am not joking. I don't understand you.
What am I missing ?

Thread needs a re-title. John McCain is the one who opposes the right to play games.
