Oh yeah, I'm just certain they waited until they walked down the aisle to consummate. I give him more slack cuz 5 years in POW camp could really change a person.

they're all slime
"wife has cancer = MY time to screw around (it's all about ME, get it?????). this is a special type of low life. spouse gets sick, hey, it's my chance to play the field,"
So is this Edwards and / or Gingrich. Both I think. From what I remember Newt was criticizing Clinton, screwing around on the side himself, his wife just finds out she has cancer, and he dumps her for the affair chick. I'm sure if each politician was investigated as much as Clinton, Edwards, Garry Hart..... we would find even more cases. So my main thoughts are... everyone is fallible. Judge them on their job. Most of them have done a crappy job as well as being a slime ball. This them vs. us is killing the ability to find positive solutions for our issues. Once elected they should be in the "American" party. |

I've been thinking about Edwards over the last 24 hours and I cannot figure out one little tidbit:
Why come forth now? You've managed to keep this under the rug for more than two years..........after the Enquirer had it all over the front page........and you've been reasonably successful at doing so. Do you suddenly get a catharsis and have to offer up yourself to the country because you can't keep in inside any longer? It's probably more likely that the mainstream press was going to run with it..........but, even if they did.........he could just remain in denial and there would be no conclusive proof unless the woman divulged the goods. He'd be in a better position with plausable denial than he would with an admission. |

Unless they run on the "family values" plank, like Newt did. Then it's fair to dig and pry, IMO. B |

It comes up because it shows the character of the person they are electing. Like I said, if you will cheat on your wife, can I believe you will not cheat on me and do something stupid in office?

Listening to the Editor of NI on TV, they have been following the flow of money, whose been paying for the woman's pad and expenses, etc. I think, with the noose tightnening around his neck, after bold face lying about it, this was all he could do, and have any control over. When your goose is cooked, try to put some seasoning you like on it! |

Yep, that's the question.........was his goose cooked? They certainly couldn't prove anything simply because he was in a given hotel at midnight. How can the press follow the flow of money...........that's a scary thought?? |

By the criterion of absolute marital fidelity, Thomas Jefferson was unfit for office.

Like Mrs Clinton? Well, if it was Joe Blow the neighbor, I agree. However, that is not who we are talking about, is it? It is our business to know if the guy we are voting in has a history of being untrustworthy, is it not?

Nobody is saying that they are unfit for office. However, that a person can cheat on his wife makes me wonder what they can do in office. So, if we have a cheater on one hand and a non-cheater on the other, well, it will weigh heavily on the decision as to who I vote for. It is by no means the only factor but it is a factor.

So maybe they have an arrangement. If they have an arrangement, is it still untrustworthiness? B |
