Damn! I was held up in a robbery once when working at a gas station. My response to the two gunmen was different: Its not my money, let them take it and leave (me alive).

We need more like that guy out there.

He's a better guy than me, I would have just shot Cleveland and saved the taxpayers 30 more years of keeping that jerk alive with a 30 cent bullet.

From all the gun debates we've had on here, I would've thought the only way you can stop a bad guy is to shoot him.

You may consider that guy a thief, but you must have missed the part where he shot at and came inches from the head of a customer in the store before his gun jammed which sparked the opportunity to jump on the guy.
Had the good guy had a gun, I'll bet he would have blown Cleveland away since he obviously discharged his weapon with intent to kill.

But even after clarification, I'll bet you still label the guy a thief right?

It was an armed robbery. Robbers are thieves.
If it'll make you feel better, I'll edit it to 'bad guy'.
