IIRC, the conversion was by Binz....not MB. I drove one of those around the parking lot at an MBCA Xmas party about 7-8 years ago.

I'm not sure what I think of it. I'm generally all for the weird and different. Sort of a high-end 2WD Subaru Baja look to it. I think it's the "standard" rear door outline that keeps catching my eye, should have been squared off on the trailing edge even if only sheetmetal for continuity.

Nonetheless, it'd make a good $wamp Yankee with Money ride.

You're right Swamp. It looks better with the rear door adjusted and made into a suicide style.

Binz makes a lot of funeral coaches and flower cars too, so your eyes did not deceive you...awkward looking thing, the proportions are all wrong. I have to imagine that the workmanship if good though.

Ehhh, still doesnt flow..... All Mercedes designs usually flow really well, that one just puts a dam in the stream.
