I sure wish everyone would think like you do- then we could get rid of all the undesirables by saying it's in the genes and then we would not need the KKK, hate crime laws. We could call Indians weaklings, blacks dumb, jews selfish bastards, whites condesending, and asians small minded gooks.

Its not bout race, Indians are a mixed bunch incorporating all from Caucasians to Mongolians to Aborigines, its about trend and they are hopeless in sports period.

India is good at cricket right? Everytime I go to the Indian restaurant they're all watching cricket.

Cricket is a limited participation sports with only few countries across the globe playing it. India has some good individual players but as a team they suck and just got wiped out by Sri Lanka yesterday.

Pray tell me what slob do you eat at the dung heaps they pass off as Indian restaurants in US? All of them serve Indian food which has nothing Indian in them.

Its a sheer coincidence that the name Patel rhymes so well with the word Motel.
That seals a question I have had since the early 1980's when I first started meeting Patels in motels in E TX. Back then, E Texans were either white or black, not even many Tex-Mex. Also, major motel chains hadn't discovered small town markets. So entering a small town and staying in a local mom-n-pop was the only choice. The first Patel family I met really set me back! Like Martians had landed.

After several more encounters I said, "Wait a second, this is an invasion!" I was (and am) okay with it except for the asafoetida aromatic that lingered in the rooms during the winter. I never got accustomed to that -- I'd rather have bronchitis. Later, more and more immigrant Chinese ebgan opening restaurants in small towns. Now there is hardly a small town anywhere that doesn't have a couple of Indian and Chinese immigrant families with kids in the schools, etc. As with every other (legal) immigrant invasion, our country is better for it, IMO.

I've never eaten at an Indian restaurant, but I've eaten curried chick peas with fried bread, made by an "authentic" Indian. I've made it myself several times since but I like to add chicken to it.

Now that you mention Golf, I just remembered that Vijay Singh is of Indian origin although he is from Fiji.

Chick peas are made with meat but only in Bengal which is the most non vegetarian state in India. There is a good dish made with chick peas and lamb which comes out good if cooked properly.

So there must be a geological connection with sports ineptitude. An ex-pat Indian can excel in sports!

Invasion is the right word, they are everywhere.

Asafoetida was also prized by Romans who would get it from India and use it in their cooking including meat. Its kind of strong and has to be used sparingly. I would rather take the smell of soy and garlic over that.

Yeah, I'm intimately familiar with the herb and its history. It's got to be a taste acquired early in life.

Oh well. Some people don't eat haggis. Can you believe it?

Well lets see.........Indians have been immigrating for a long while, as professionals, business and before that as laborers. Amar Bose of Bose speakers father came over to US as a teacher in the early 30s. Now putting all that in perspective, what do you see? A very poor achievement in fact. Barring aside few here and there, there isn't a single Indian athlete in US, UK, Europe or elsewhere to talk about.
