Bmw z3

I think that I'm going to sell a few Volvos and buy a BMW z3. What do you thing of these? Years, motors? etc? I won't buy an m version though. Also, won't sell my 745 turbo eather, it's my favorite.

They look like a mola-mola. Whenever I look at them I wonder where the rest of the rear end is.A r107 looks much better IMHO

Z3 is ugly! Z4 is uglier! Unbalanced design. Way too long front end, tiny back end. Odd looking!

Want a beautiful sports car? Try any year (85-now) Porsche 911 Turbo.
That,s a REAL sports car, that is also a work of art!

My friend wants to buy the M version, because you can get them cheap. Personaly they don't do anything for me. My aunt has an 07 Z4 that rides like crap, and looks weird.

I'm not a big convertable fan, but the best ones I have driven are the Mercedes SL's if you want luxury, and the Porsche Cab's if you want a sports car.

If you want a BMW drop top get a 3 series, or M3.

The long hood short deck comes from having the tranny attached to the motor.....a sedan based solution. The other way with the tranny in the rear a la porsche 944, results in a more balanced profile but the servicing is tougher.

Same with the boxter, better balance but servicing is sacrificed to the god of balance.

Personally I really like the z coupe.....and the crossfire.

Meh, if you get a car that tiny, it better at least be light weight and tossable. The Z3s can weigh up to 3000 pounds, which is ridiculous considering their size. I've only driven the mid range straight six version. The engine is sweet but the rest of the car is meh, drives like a tank like most German cars.

I'd get a Miata (light weight 2000 pounds to 2400 pounds depending on the year) or an S2000 if you want something with more HP.

I've the driven both the 4 and 6 cylinder Z3's. (also the M).

For daily use, the "base" 6 is a lot of fun. I does feel a little heavy for a smaller convertible. However, for a daily driver it should do the trick. They are priced well too...

Never liked the Zs too, though when the first Z3 came out I thought it was cool. Dpeaking of convertibles, does BMW even have a convertible hardtop? That seems to be the trend in high-end convertibles these days. Why not a C70 if you want one, and it's a VOLVO!

I wouldn't consider one unless it was an M. They have their own issues like all cars do.

I really like the s2000. The design is so perfect I would not know where to start to improve it! (another car with the engine attached to the tranny but oddly not because the drivetrain is shared with any sedans!)

The styling of the bmws, excepting the first one which I like, is not at all classic.

Drove the M series Z3, and then drove to the Honda dealer to drive the S2k. Hated it. Especially hated the enormous hump that intrudes in the passenger footwell. Just my o though.
