Miss Grundy May Be Packin'!

A Box of Ammo for the Teacher?

It isn't clear how many of the 50 or so teachers and staff members will be armed this fall because Thweatt did not disclose that information, to keep it from students or potential attackers.

Good. It's about time we start allowing the "good" guys to fight back. Obviously the unarmed school thing hasn't worked out that well, maybe this will.

I just love the hand-wringing and whining from the leftys in the other articles. A remote school district makes a change that they seem neccesary to secure their school. The are REQUIRING that the teachers that WANT to carry: Have a Texas permit, are duly authorized by the district and have appropriate training. Seems pretty reasonable. Given this is a small district in a remote area its a reasonable solution. Probably not the solution for Houston but they can afford cops, etc. RT

My wife is a teacher.

I tell you the truth, you folks would love to have Mrs B carrying her .38 Special in your school.

Holey Columbine.

Now that Netflix is up and running again . . . I think I'll ask them to send "Little Murders" this week.

Hey, if you're not prepared for the worst to happen, you make yourself a victim.

I would rather be called "over prepared" than "dead".

Think about it... guns also SAVE lives.

True story:

A man held up a small grocery store here in Arizona (we have concealed carry gun permits here). The clerk held at gunpoint with his hands in the air, smiled, and told the gunman - "before you do anything that you might regret, you should probably turn around VERY SLOWLY." As the gunman turned around he saw four customers with their own guns aimed directly at him. He dropped his weapon and he was held for police.

Crooks hate it when the good guys can fight back on their terms and win!

I have my concealed carry permit. I know all the rules. I carry a Glock .45. Hopefully I will never have to use it to defend my wife or I.
But... I will if I have to...

The other side of that thought is what freedom is there when you live in a society that you fear so much that you "must" carry deadly force?

The only way to control society such that crime is no longer a threat is to incorporate a well-regulated police state.

Remember, a gun is a tool, pretty much like any other mechanical tool that serves a purpose. I don't fear any situation now, nor do I take any chances with the lives of my wife or I.

It's like car insurance. I don't expect to have a wreck, but if I do, I'm covered... gives my wife and I a good sense of security, and that's a good thing!

If you pull the trigger you better be ready to accept that the target will die.

Also, some targets aren't intimidated just because of a hole in them and they may even resent having been ventilated.

I have logged much experience with all my Glocks.

The .45 round is good for personel protection because it will actually knock a man down or send him spinning around because of it's size.

I also have a 9mm and a .357 mag. Glocks are the best!
