Facinating
BUT, What if the Bovine's ONLY faced North or South when they KNEW Google
Earth's Satellites were watching them? There is an Orphanage down the road that raises Cattle...and those Mooers are all over the map as far as "Heading" is concerned...BUT they're all hiding under trees to escape the Sun's Vitriolic Rays...So maybe they feel less duty to line up North or South since the Satellites cannot see them under the trees.

I drove past a bunch of farms on my way to and from Manassas today According to my GPS pretty much all the cows were facing North by NE.
Hmmm, maybe it is a conspiracy a'la that South Park episode "Cow Days"

Finally
'Saw the Cows at Bethesda out in the open munching on grass...All were lined
up facing either Northwards or Southwards. I still maintain the Cows only do that out in the Open when thay know the Satellites are watching!

This past weekend, I got lost in a more rural area of the town....
Remembering this article, I stopped when I saw a cow and decided to ask it for directions...... Well, it raised its head and looked at me funny....
