First week of class....

Ugggh, I am almost done with my first week of class....

Been a long and hard week readjusting to waking up early for class. Damn, the work is a PITA too.

I have had a few drinks this week, but have yet to get absolutely wasted. Too much homework, and stuff to do....

Ugghhh....

Any other college students here? Problems adjusting?

H-townbenzoboy 08-29-2008 03:44 PM

No probs here. I just got pissed because the department cancelled two of my classes, screwing up my schedule. One of the classes that was cancelled was one that I was actually looking forward to taking. I was able to find a replacement class for that one, but I wasn't able to find anything else to fill the other one's slot that would meet my degree program requirements. So now, I am taking a lighter course load than I wanted (I wanted 15 credit hours, but I'm stuck with 12 now). Fortunately, it won't affect my graduation date. I'll be able to take the classes I need next semester (I'll need 9 credit hours then, but would have only needed 6 if I'd taken 15 this semester) so I'll still be getting out on time (Spring 2009). Oh well.

Me too. First week back to work is tough.

Lexxani 08-29-2008 09:23 PM

Its starting Tuesday for me, looking forward to getting out. School sucks, its like a real job without getting paid.

Taking 5 classes this semester, and I might be able to get out this spring, who knows?:D

I actualy enjoyed my MIS classes. Boring as can be, but usefull.

I'm an International Business Major.

This fall I'm taking:

International Accounting
Statistics for Eco/Business
International Economics
Organizational Behavior
Mgt of Multinational Corps

Should be fun.

These three would interest me:
Statistics for Eco/Business
International Economics
Organizational Behavior

Hat's off to you, Hatt.

Tymbrymi 08-30-2008 01:48 PM

Right there with ya!!

Finished two weeks of class already, and I'm soooo glad I'm only taking one class. I work full time though. My main gripe is that I was forced into taking a class that was MUCH harder than I was wanting for my first semester in grad school. I work in a university research center, and my supervisor is teaching a special topics course (ie, it is only offered once)... so I didn't really have much of an option.

As if that wasn't enough I also signed up for the EcoCar competition, and that could be a 40 hour job by itself!! It is why I started grad school though... Since it is a student competition... you have to actually be a student.

So much for a 40 hour work week!

:musicbooh
