Brake-B-Q

It got a little hot yesterday- especially on Denise's 190E 2.3-16. Everytime she braked hard enough, flames were shooting out of the caliper and sometimes through the rims! These are the Hawk blue racing pads...toasty!

Yeah but can those "smoked" brakes beat Powerpig's smoked pork?

Yikes! I'm never less than impressed with MB brakes, yesterday I had to make a fast (85mph) merge over on the highway to make it into my exit ramp, ramp was rated at 25mph.....so I shaved off speed from 85 to about 37mph in a very short distance, awesome! And I had about 1000lbs of cargo in the car!

actually no, its really flames coming out of the calipers! I saw it many times and thought the same thing at first but then got some close looks and sure enough its all flame.

The car stops just fine as well, the run that this pic was taken on was the FTD (fastest time of the day), she beat the next closest driver (her husband in the same car) by almost a full second.
