New shifter (shows how much my woods faded!)

I love it alot, but you can see it shows how faded my wood is lol!
$50 shifter and about an hour of my time. Was just plug and play.

Anybody know where I can find a new set for a TE? I have been searching for quite some time...

Or, is it possible to refinish the wood at all?

Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

Try the parts guy at Caliber Motors, in Anaheim Hills, California. They sell at 20% off list. Used to deal with a guy named Tom Hanson, but he left. They still offer the same prices and service, however.

Toll free 800-252-6877. You get excellent service and next day shipping for most parts.

It's been around four years since I replaced my console piece, and I got it for around $180. Unfortunately, for the W124-series the only one available contains 2 additional cutouts for seat heater switches. So I ordered one seat heater switch and a blank. I guess I could have jumpered the switch so that it would illuminate like the other console switches, but as you can see from the pic, the blank serves as the mini-phono jack for the iPod.

I too replaced the shifter knob and also opted for the chrome shift surround.

Those wood knobs look terrific. I'd like to get a burl knob for the Dee8gonator. That'll be sometime after I've done the other 1001 things that need doing o it.

Note to GBenz...

Tom Hanson went to the Classic Center down in Irvine.

That's awesome thanks! $180 seems reasonable. I'll give them a call.
