NOPI nationals

I am thinking about riding up to the NOPI Nationals next week at the Atl Motor Speedway - maybe Saturday. Any mercedesshop.com members want to maybe get together and rep the MB. Let me know. I drive a Mercedes but first and foremost I am a car guy. Come to think of it, maybe I should go in the CRV - I don't think so.

That was one of the "more dressed" models that we photographed . I did not feel some of the other were appropriate on this forum.
If ya'll are into cars (and are young) then this is "the" show to go to. There were twice as many MB's shown this year compared to last - we saw two this year out of about 5000 cars.
Here is another beauty.

LOL - gilly It is to the "younger" generation what Hot Rod Chevelles/GTOS/442's car get togethers were years ago to us "ol timers".

Here is a link

http://www.nopi.com/

If you want to see it on tv it comes on TNN this morning at 11 EST.

http://www.nopi.com/ndratvschedule.htm

Some people may not think much of this stuff but this is what is happening with todays kids/cars. I was at a NOPI drag race a few weeks ago and saw a highly modified Toyota Solari go 178 in the 1/4 mile. Pretty impressive stuff - all you can hear is that turbo charger screaming.

Benzman - the next big car show on our schedule is the Turkey Rod Run. Our plans are to ride down on the Friday after Thanksgiving and come back home on the following Sunday. We are coming in a big ol RV this year and will set up right off of the "main drag" downtown. When we get closer to the day email me with contact number, etc. and we will give you a shout while we are in town.

Turkey Run is a great show give me a holler. I only have a short time frame when I go to it because of work. But then again work is right across from the track If they charge for parking at work this year I will see if I can get a couple employee passes for you.

NOPI

NOPI is a company that sells speed parts for imports. I don't think their current ads spell it out anymore, but years ago NOPI was short for: Number One Parts, Inc.

NOPI was for domestic drag racing in the past was'nt it. Only recently I think Hondas and such have started using them.

Good question. When I first saw their ads it looked like they catered to the import market...
