COLD across the northern teer.....

First, I noticed the frost advisories across the northern plains (northern North Dakota, Minnesota)... then it shifted into the northern Great Lakes (northern Wisconsin, Michigan) and tonight its shifted east into parts of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and northern New York.

It was about time though, because it seems like this is about the time of year the cold moves into the north land, but it still seems so early, as it does every year- that summer is winding down. It went by so fast it seems.

While we will still have hot weather here in the south throughout September and have a mild October and will not likely have our first frost until late October/early November, it still seems like its so close. We are still far from it, highs in the 80s and 90s and humid with dewpoints still in the 60s and 70s and 90s this weekend, so I for one will be ready for refreshing air.

Those blue areas you see in the northeast on the map is frost/freeze areas.

Wondering if anyone here up north has had a frost/freeze yet?

I know that Cadillac Michigan dropped to 32° this morning and Saranac Lake New York is forecasted to get down to 26° in the morning! :cold:

We're supposed to get some colder stuff (not freezing, though) creeping into CT. Supposedly the lack of sunspots in August is some harbinger of a change towards a cooling trend.
