Rental car

So my car is in the shop getting fixed from some punk kids keying it so they gave me a Dodge Charger as a rental, and ive noticed that a few Mercedes features are used in this car. For one the key, its the same exact key FOB that mercedes uses with the sensor thing that starts the car, also its basically the same shape and has the remote buttons in the same place. Also, the turn signal stalk and cruise controll stalk looks identical to the one in my Sisters ML..

I know they split (chrylers and Mercedes) but are they still alowed to incorporate these parts into the cars (meaning chrysler)?

Just something i noticed

Pop the airbox on that thing and start doing N drops!

If its got a 5sp it could be a 722.6, they are pretty tough.

Rental cars are good for many adventures.

I remember when my friend had a rental Buick. It was below zero out, and he put his foot to the floor and started it that way. Man did those lifters scream! Bounce it off the rev limiter for a few minutes and you would get heat.

I've been noticing lately that car rental companies seem to be cutting back on the service and clean up of the cars.

Interesting... I always "baby" rental cars... I guess its habit as the way I drive my own cars.

My uncle on the other hand when he comes in a rental car from out of town, he likes to redline at every opportunity.

It shares some underpinnings with the W210 (96-02 E-class) I believe.

I don't think the new chargers are related to the E class at all.

The only loaner my friends and I didn't beat to within and inch of its life was the 08 E350 4matic. Since it's a good car it was treated with the respect that it deserves. My friend even put 93 in it when he returned it.

The Charger is based on the W210 platform.
