Fake, Plant, or True

What Obama confessed to is TRUE! He's a socialist!

Funny how the left tries to tie Joe with Alaska. Yeah, go after Joe. Discredit him while BHO has yet to be truthful about his associations with Ayers, Resko, and lest we forget the racist spiritual leader Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Yeah, go after Joe! Btw, I really liked the writing style of the reporter, especially toward the end of the article when they said, "she lasted talked to". I had to read that one over and over. Gotta love those elementary school paper reporters!

Yeah. I've noticed that in the last few years. The abyssmal qualitiy of written (and spoken) English in the journalistic "profession". Incredible when you think that a command of the language should be pretty high up there in a journalists set of tools. I guess that's the result of forty years of liberal education.

Thanks to the media and all of the people who give a crap about the story I think its safe to say that Joe will be well above the $250,000 tax bracket when his 15 minutes is over.

Much of that has to do with the fact that many newspapers have been decimated recently in terms of staff numbers. And those of us who remain are charged with doing twice the work we should be doing for two reasons: We must pick up the work of those who have been laid off, and we are expected to produce news simultaneously on the Internet and in our print edition. Many "Web updates" are posted by some guy who's trying, at the same time, to get everything out for print edition as deadline looms. It's easy to miss a typo when you're reading three things at once, no matter how refined your grammar and spelling are. I'm a very good copy editor, but I've made a lot of embarrassing and silly mistakes because I have to do two or three jobs at once. Of course, I usually go back and fix them, and many editors never make that effort.

Sorry to ramble off-topic, but it bothers me how so many people mock copy editors as uneducated or illiterate when we're really just grossly overworked (and some are illiterate, but still). In the past six months my workload has doubled, and I'm not exaggerating. Over the past two years that I've worked here, it seems every month or two, I get a new e-mail explaining an extra Web-related task I'm expected to take care of every night. And I've had to pick up the work of people who have been "let go" for budget reasons. At least I know one thing won't change: my salary.

Honestly, I think a lot of the best journalists are leaving the industry because it's become such a thankless wasteland. My worst fear was, at one point, that I would be the next one laid off. Now my worst fear is that I'll be the last one laid off.

Amazing how the stupid repubs managed to get Obama to pick Joe to talk to.
You gotta admire that kind of political savy.

Of course if Joe is a plant, it stands to reason that Obama cannot be held accountable for his statements, right?

After all, THAT is the issue. Obama, w/o prompting , admitted to his socialist philosophy. He really does believe in "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need".

Just the other day, some writer Botnst posted wrote about the statue of limitations and advisers.
I think I even saw 'adviser' in a CNN article.

I think it's pretty clear anyone who's lived in Alaska is a plant. Nobody moves up there for the weather.

Interesting. I last worked in newspers over a decade ago. I was a sysop, not a reporter. The whole online thing was just begining. There was precious little chance of anything slipping thru. After the reporter had finished with it it went to a copy editor, then up to a sub-editor if memory serves. Of course the system had spell checking built in as well so basic spelling mistakes were practically unheard of. Gamatical errors too though sometimes I guess there could be issues of interpretation. However. I mentioned spoken english as well on the radio and TV. Makes me wonder if people actually have to take English classes at college anymore.

Obama and Co. are real studs for picking on a guy who's door THEY knocked on, he gave them an answer they did not like so its smear the little guy. I think anyone getting their jollys out of Joe six pack getting beat up by two US Senators and likely the future President and Vice President needs an attitude check.

If Obama or McCain knocked on my door I'd sure as hell ask some tough questions but I'll think twice about that now, thats the seed of tyranny.
