Dear Fellow Business Owners,

As a the owner of a business who employs 30 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama will be our next President, and that my taxes and government fees will go up in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Customer will have to see an increase in my prices to them of about 8%. I will also have to lay off 6 of my employees. This really bothered me for a while, as I believe we are family here and didn't know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I strolled thru the parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on my employees' cars. I have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem.

If you have a better idea, let me know. I am sending this letter to all business owners that I know.

I wonder how much of a landslide Obama would make if he decided to jump onto the Fairtax plan and steal it from the Republicans just as he stole Hillary's entire agenda and ran with it?

I also can't see how hillary would be upset unless she is just in it for the power of the office because the country would be getting her entire agenda and then some with Obama as pres.

You would think this would make her as giddy as William Ayers running from a well placed bomb at the New York City Police headquarters.

Again, as an owner of several small businesses, I think the stupid email forwards like the original post are part of what are going to get Obama elected. I don't want to see that happen, but I can't change the Constitution.

If you are small business owner with a taxable income of $500,000, your taxes on the income from $250K to $500K will go from the current value of $90,000 to the new value of $97,500.

Can you provide any logical answer whereby you need to layoff an employee due to your loss of aftertax income in the amount of $7,500?

Your examples are really wildly off the mark and it shows that you don't know anything about Obamas tax plan (I'm presuming that you agree with the post........otherwise wouldn't have posted it).

When all that has been done is the FWD button pushed, how do you expect one to glean anything about the specific planks in a platform?

Nothing personal 'spaz..........but, the ongoing BS regarding Obamas tax plan seems incessant. I'd really like to see how his current plan will cause a single layoff............

And, what is forgotten, is the fact that the additional taxes gleaned from the wealthy will still be spent somewhere............the money doesn't evaporate into thin air. The government will enact a health plan or give money to people in need and they will spend that money..........one way or the other...........the economy will not suffer from a small increase in marginal tax rates on those with incomes over $250K (or $200K.......whatever).

Whenever you hear that BS phrase "redistribution of wealth", that's total crap. All college educated people know that it means taking unfair advantage (stealing from) of the successful, educated, hard working folks that may have really struggled to get where they are. Higher tax rate for successful people is fair? No!

Brian is right on the money here. I'd also add that Obama will even give tax credits to businesses that create jobs here in the US, and close tax loopholes that reward companies for shipping jobs overseas.

And regarding "wealth redistribution", that has been the reality for at least a 100 years in the US and it's been supported by both parties. It's just a semi-clever phrase to fool the stupid segments of the electorate.
