Mi to Fl in 300 SD
The old girl loves the highway, and rewarded me by averageing between 25 and 28 mpg,as long as I kept the speeds reasonable. As is indicative of the 116-the semis did not blow us all over the road,or suck us in. only glitch came after I reached my destination: I "thought" the ignition tumbler was stuck, thanks to "Bobo the Clown" for reminding me to turn the steering wheel to free the ignition. To my delight, the salvage yard pick n pull have rust free vehichles, which is something I am not accustomed to after living in Michigan. Thanks to "Rob the Roach" and "Charlie the Walrus" for all of your refferals. Deb- I will be to see you as soon as i get setteled, in order to examine some of your stable.

My SD has made that trip too, its a looong but interesting drive, thats for sure. I drove from Lansing MI to just south of Atlanta (about 15 miles south) in one day......then another 450 miles the next day down to Dade City FL......
