Actually, I went to a website called playlist.com that my daughter told me about. You can listen to almost anything on there for free. I don't think you can download stuff, but you can listen to it.

Enya Gets "Thumbs Up" from SCOTUS

She had prepared the video, describing how her daughter had been adopted from Canada and was a Blackfoot Indian. In the background is the music of Enya, an Irish singer and composer.

I can see why the defendents wouldn't want something like that played in the sentencing phase.

I of course feel sorry for crime victims but it's a shame that the severity of punishment or even the finding of guilty or not guilty is dependent more on emotion and courtroom theatrics rather then an examination of the facts.

I know, Evan. It doesn't seem right, but it's the reality of the trial process. I've always heard that trial lawyers are really actors on a stage. I believe that's true.

It always amazes me to see two lawyers who seem to want to rip each others' heads off in court only to walk out and go have a drink together like the best of friends.

I'm sure JD will have something interesting to add to this.
