I do have a news paper from 1943... I've been too afraid to unfold it.

Oh man, I miss all the Marvel comics I bought in the mid 60s -- Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Thor, Captain America, X-Men, Ironman, Daredevil, and I forget what else. $$$ (with wings on it)

War comics
My bother and enjoyed reading the Sgt. Rock, Sgt. Fury, G.I. Combat with Jeb Stuart & The Hunted Tank and other military comics.
This let to building Tamiya 1/35 scale Tiger I's Stug III's, Shermans, Centurians, etc. Followed by reading the Sven Hassel series of books, Wheels of Terror, The Bloody Road to Death, SS General, etc. Which eventually led me to joining the Army. Good stuff.
