did the forum lose the thread preview or just me?

Used to be I'd hover the mouse over a thread title and a window would show a few lines of the first post. It's not working tonight. Did the forum software change or is it something with my PC? Did I miss the memo?

Agreed, however some of our users are on dial-up and the extra bandwidth was causing them problems.

Can we at least get an option to turn it back on in our User CP for those of us who liked the feature?

Just noticed that myself.

Dial-up is SO last millennium.

I want it back - it saved me lots of time. If they're still using dial-up, then they got bigger problems than just a simple preview. There should have been a poll somewhere to able to vote for it so democracy can rule.

Democracy should rule--Lethermang should get to vote in proportion of his technical posts vs. everyone else's and let's see how that shakes out. That's funny to condescend someone for having dial-up--I hunt with a guy that is worth north of $30M liquid and he has never owned a computer.

That said, I liked the feature too. I disabled avatars and signatures a year or two ago--I wonder if that would help Greg's speed issue?
