Remove any previous anti virus, go to www.free-av.com and download Avira and scan your system, also download Spyware Terminator from www.spywareterminator.com and do a thorough scan.

Download the free anti-malware program from malwarebytes.com.

It will knock out most of that kind of krap.

and.......

Don't click on stuff that tells you that you need some new version of some media player to view a video.

Plantman - that link is dangerous, you should delete it please.

EDIT - I altered the link as it actually links to a page that will deploy malware. Don't click on it anyone.

Plantman - today's malware and spyware can be incredibly persistent and difficult to remove. You may require a reformat. Try the programs others have listed here, if they don't work - save your docs and reformat, reload Windows and use a good firewall and AV all the time. Good luck!

Man that thing was annoying!

ANY webpage I opened redirected me there, and when I tried to cancel, it went to another one, then another.

I was able to download the newest version of system suite after about an hour of clicking and clicking and trying over and over. It was even hijacking the download.

Finally, I ran their AV AND ASP program and it removed whatever I had.

Boy was that annoying.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm gonna try some of those sites you mentioned to make sure.

Great day!
