Picture freakin' perfect. You never cease to amaze me, Chad.

Are those the bubbling candle lights? I love the old time ornaments, my grandmother puts a bunch of cool old lights and ornaments (read inherently unsafe) on her tree every year.

I'll have to snap a pic when I get home. Ours looks like an ornament bomb exploded on the tree with kids' school project ones thrown in.

That's how I tried to put mine on our tree but the Mrs. and kids disapproved.

I got mine out to put on the bushes around the house. Apparently, the kids put them away last year, so mine looked like that, too. I looked at them and was tempted to throw them away and just buy new ones. I seem to have that thought most years around this time.

Thanks. Yup, bubble lights hold special memories for me. I put them on my tree every year. It's actually starting to get tough to find ones without flakes of crap in the glass tubes anymore. I prefer the ones with just the liquid to bubble.

I cannot find any bubblelights. Where do you get them? I had a set from the 1940's but it is no longer safe to use.

Here is last year's tree

They remind me of my grandmother's tree. She always had those.

You have decorated your tree with the same level of aesthetics and detail as you seem to do everything else. Bravo, Chad! Good job.

Here is last year's tree

If I find them at the seasonal Christmas stores on sale, I stock up. Otherwise I buy them on the internet for a little more $.

EDIT: Thanks Tom.

LUVMBDiesels, nice tree, are those red lights poinsettias or some other kind of flower?

Me, too. I need to get some. My grandmother has lots of ornaments that use the heat generated from the 50's vintage big bulbs (bubblers and spinners).

I have an actual picture picture of the one we had in our college apartment that resurfaces every now and then. I'll have to see if I can find it and scan it.
