Rotel Reciever with Bad Tuner
We have a Rotel RX-303 reciever with a tuner that doesn't tune but the amp still works. I have the impression that they make good amps so the question is do I try to get it fixed, get a tuner for it or pitch it and get another reciever.
Thanks

I bought a used Rotel tuner a few years back, and it had a bad tuner, and i just through it out.

There are a scant few exotic vintage pieces that are worth repairing, as their resale value justifies the cost.
Except for nostalgia, there is usually no reason to keep an old piece of equipment in that is in disrepair. I won a vintage Pioneer integrated amp on eBay for pennies, but spent nearly eight times that to get it up to snuff. Again, nostalgia...had one like it in college before I traded it and some other gear for something better. That said, I surf eBay's "Vintage Electronics" section regularly. Decent Rotel receivers come up for auction from time to time...
