Went into a Bang & Olufsen Store

Jessus that stuff is expensive and the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.

The 2 salesman were complete douche-bags, no wonder they don't sell anything.

That's what I was trying to tell you, Swede ...

Check this KEF sale @ amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&keywords=Kef&search-type=ss&index=electronics

I think the shelf speakers for around $200 are affordable and worth it.

You could also look into building a cabinet from a kit and fit in the drivers of your choice. If you have the time and patience for it.

Since the Model D speakers retail for more than a new S-Class ($150K), I wonder if they charge for the audition.

I used to have a pair. I sold them to a buddy and then I blew one blasting "The Wall", we were bleamed.

Is that you Swede, in your post-human spheres? I mean, in a projection of "The Afterlife"?

I know I will get flamed for this, but I am happy with my thrift store Bose MediaMate speakers hooked up to my Tivoli Model One.

I also agree, B&O sucks, evenmore than Bose...

I have an old Beomaster in the basement that is non-functional. The speakers still work great, though.

I think it was more about style, but they sounded great too.

Nice looking amp, but only two tubes for each output? What are those tubes, 6550?

I am personally fond of a Carver amp that I will never own, a mono amp with 15 6550 tubes. I don't recall the output (which was phenomenal) but the price was about 15K per channel over 20 years ago.

My friends dad has a few hundred grand worth of speakers, a mixing board, and a crazy big TV in his entertainment room. While sounding awsome I just can't see spending that kind of money on that kind of stuff. Its cool though, I was their when they were building the room, some of the speaker cables are like 1 or 0 guage. The door is cool too, its sound proof and like 6in thick. They do sound sick though!

As for me I have a set of Logitech speakers that I got for $60 at a 70% off going out of business sale. They are pretty nice I think they have titanium cones or whatever there called. Certianly the best set of speakers I have ever owned. I need to get a better sound card for my computer, they are more than my currant one can handle.
