Businessmen, when I used it, is in reference to the next step up from cockroach, (see above), in that they are willing to supply arms and materials for the purposes of those cockroaches, just so long as the check clears the bank before Habib pulls the trigger on his little "golden parachute of heavenly joy"...but they won't help build or sustain any flow of money/effort for the infrastructure that needs to be built to bring STABILITY TO THE REGION...and they don't have the guts to stand up the Arab-Mafia (my term) of the regions...they have the same "NIMBY" attitude that all businessmen have, world-wide, only theirs is still driven by a misguided God called $$$$...

Gloves, is pretty self-descriptive...it's what's on the hands if you don't want to get your hands dirty...when you take them off, the hands are getting dirty or you're in a real fight...not some pussy-punching game either...

Assuming that at that point in life we don't need anything from that area anymore (Raw materials for this new energy source doesn't come from there), you are correct. HOWEVER, that will not solve the main problem. Mankind still will find something to squabble over. Mankind has fought before oil came about and will be fighting even after oil is over and done with.
