Now Running Windows 7!
So far, seems much better than Vista. I'll report back after a couple of days of test driving it.

RLC or beta?
I'm doing alright with my Windows "Mojave" |
Been running it for 2 weeks. Seems faster than Vista here too.
Have not tried to game on it... yet. |

I'm a beta tester as well, no crashes and faster and smoother than XP, I'm still having problems with the interface I used the "classic" interface on XP so now I'm dumbfounded because there is not a classic classic view, it looks like I have to get with the times. One issue I do have though is its automation of connections is almost too automated. I have my cell modem set up as a back up connection so for awhile the puter would see my BB via bluetooth and make a connection using valuable resources. I'm only running a gig of memory.
Many years ago I was active in the A and B testing of Office 97 and 00 so MS keeps on sending me the love, I passed on the XP testing though. |
You can polish a turd, but in the end its just a shiny turd.

I am going to grab a torrent of it myself later and replace my Vista 64 (I never use) with it and see how I like it. |
I heard it described as Windows Vista that actually works. That sounded encouraging.
I'm still buying and Apple next time. I don't find fiddling around with a bunch of operating system stuff to be fun or the least bit entertaining. I'd like to have a tool that allows me to think about my work instead thinking about how to get the tool to work. |

I've been testing Windows 7, too. Looks pretty nice but, it's hard to judge until the final version is out and it is tested with all the programs and device drivers I use.
Vista is working pretty well for me except for IE7. I still get IE7 crashes on my 64-bit desktop. Everything runs flawlessly on my 32-bit laptop though. The Vista Reliability Monitor is pegged at 10.00 on my laptop but around 7.00 on my desktop. I notice that they left the Reliability Monitor out of Windows 7. (Administrative Tools > Reliability and Performance Monitor > Reliability Monitor) |
My reliability monitor is my ears and mouth. If there's steam shooting out my ears and a stream of foul language spewing out of my mouth, that's an indication that reliablity is "low."
