How about twisted backwards.:D

I found an old newspaper in the attic of my house when I moved in. There was an ad for Camels in it that was similar to this one:

President Reagan once commented on a cig ad he was in where he talked about how much he loved a brand of smokes. He said that he was not a smoker, but in the early 1950's the studio owned his image and would sell it to anyone with the cash.

A photo of Ronnie was stripped up with another photo of a hand holding the companies' product, and he was quoted as saying how much he loved that brand or something like that.

He also said he never got paid for the ad, and that made him start thinking about running for president of the Screen Actors Guild to get that changed and then Gov of California to change a few things there and then...

And to think his road to the White House all started with an ad about a pack of smokes!

I believe those were Chesterfields cigarettes.

The ad copy doesn't mention just how darn tasty it is too!

The Ford Pinto one is classic!:D

Thanks for the Ronnie ads. I like the way there is a small plug for his latest movie in the ad. Must have been a standard studio requirement.

Notice how in one ad the cig is just glued on to the picture.

The Pinto ad is also great. I remember the Ford public relations people said the same thing about an Escort 'sprotscar' that was just a shortend Escort.

Somewhere on my drive I have an old ad for Lard.
"They are happy, because they eat Lard!" or something like that.

Here's a few I posted on an older thread that Bot started about obesity in Mississippi or Louisiana.
