Me, I am 50% Filipino, and the rest is a mixture of Prussian, Irish, German and some other not significant things.

Because there are German roots in my family that wished to remain separate from the Prussian part of my family.... (Thats what was explained to me)

I'll bet. "Modern" Germans are happy to pretend Prussia never existed. The irony of that is that absent Prussia, Germany would likely never have unified. And modern history would certainly be very different.

I consider myself more closely connected to Italian side. My grandmother and grandfather came to this country in the early 1900's. My grandfather served in the Italian Army. I still have family in Spilimbergo and outside San Piero Patti in Sicily. I went to visit them in 2000 and can't wait to go back.
