Fun with utensils!

It occured to me today that I have quite the collection of utensils from lord knows where. Some bought, some possibly from unintentional potluck swapping, etc...

So the question is: How many different styles of utensils do you have?

Here's mine:

When odd-looking utensils show up at my house, I toss them. I'm very particular about having everything matching and looking right together.

That's us, too.

The odd ones go into a box that we bust out when guests are here. They get the: “Are any of these yours? If so, take them with you. If not, feel free to take them anyway.”

In my townhouse, they get circulated into service.... (College stuent.)

At my parents house, they get put aside, sort of like lost an found. If they are not claimed, they get donated to my townhouse....

I used to just give them to the kids to play with outside until I hit one with the lawn mower once . . .

Used to be fastiduous about maintaining a set and giving away the others...until child came along.

Funny how you send them off with a teaspoon or something (out of plastic flatware) with their school lunch (packed with Jell-o or similar), and said spoon never returns home.

I have a friend that I'm convinced has singlehandledly tossed an entire set of silverware into the trash over time with every dinner visit!

So now when I notice a deficit of a particular tool, I just head off to "Wally World" and pick up a couple of $1 sets. For everyday use, who cares?

Yep. Silverware gets lost in my house. Dont know where it goes, but I am guessing that the lost silverware is hanging out with my lost socks.

We gave up on having nice everyday silverware.... We hit up Ikea whenever we run low on silverware.

We have nice sets for dinner parties and such, but daily use, Ikea!

I'm partial to the 50 cent glasses that they sell. Cheapest price ever but damn good quality "Made in Russia"
