It used to be called hoodride and was only with the old air cooled vw's with lots of natural patina... then the rest picked it up..

I've seen people do it to their whole cars, one was a German built Mk3 Jetta VR6 (a 1 year, very hard to get car...), I just don't understand it. I bet most of these guys don't live in the rust belt. It's a never ending battle to keep it off the car.

Haha! The roof racks remind e of my trunk contents...Fuel, fire extinguisher, enough tools/jacks/stands to do just about anything in a parking lot....
