Why? Why should she have even #2? Did you boink her and get her pregnant? I know I didn't. Since I didn't get my rocks off on her, why should I even pay for #1 and #2? I will give her some of my #2 but that is it.

The Menedez bros did cure cancer for their parents, did they not? I think someone said that if you lived long enough, you will get cancer. The Menedez bros made sure their parents didn't get cancer.

Yep - Kind of a bummer, that.

Would you by chance know how much we are paying?
Taking a guess would be fine.

And, I don't mean the grand total either.
What I'd like to know is how much it's going to cost each of us.

Right. The kids should all be condemned for the sins of their mother. When I say cure for cancer I don't mean it literally. These kids deserve a fighting chance just like everyone else. Everyone loves rags to riches stories yet I see no one pulling for these kids.

Kuan you are right its not fair that these kids are getting ignored but no one ever said life is fair. Their mother made sure they were going to get a hard sell in life by pulling crazy stupid bull**** while trying to get famous.

When I say Stalin or Hitler, I didn't mean it literally either. My point is if you want to say the kid could someday reach for the stars, you have to agree that someday, he could be someone horrible too.

I don't like those stories. Guess I don't belong in the "Everyone" category. Everyone, as you put it, likes those stories because they like to fantasize it could happen to them too. Much nicer than having to bust their nuts to achieve it. As Macbeth said " If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me "

The kids didn't have a decision to be born. But her mother did. Face it, each child is only getting 1/14th of the attention. Medical bills, school, clothes, food, transportation. You need a light bus to drive that many people around.

On a rough estimate based on MSN here

http://moneycentral.msn.com/articles/family/kids/tlkidscost.asp

That's $1.66 Million for 0-17 and then another $2.25 Million for college for 14!

If the kids even had a chance at medical school could they afford it? It would be an even greater tragedy if one kid was a genetics genius and could not go because they she had only a 14th of the available funds.

My wife and I are a young couple and we both work our butts off and can't not worry about money all the time. Having 14 children would be a huge unecessary burden.

This from the article I quoted in the other thread:

"Suleman said she intends to go back to college in the fall to get a degree in counseling."

Methinks she should be on the other side of the desk.

And I intend to follow in the footsteps of Mother Teresa. Bet neither are happening in our lifetimes.

So is the pharmacist that fills birth control pills. Since when is it the job of the doctor to decide who is worthy and who is not worthy of his services? He is paid to do a job so he should STFU and do the job the best he can.

The doctor is now elevated to godhood.

Ok, so it looks like somewhere near $3.91M to raise the kids somewhere close to what we might all agree is “right” over the next 17 years.

If there’s 300+M people in the country. Who cares? Let’s just say there’s 95M people/households who actually file a return here.

Then that’s 95M taxpayers covering her $3.91M bill.

Quick – Someone grab a calculator.

How much money is to be paid by each taxpayer/household for her “Stunt” ?
Remembering that, it is paid out over the 17 years of their lives.

Now, let’s compare that number to the amount of money you would be willing to pay for the entertainment value you receive from this OD forum over a one day period.

But what about the others that are like her who have a smaller litter? Did that get factored into the tax system too?

Likely nothing. If she makes money during the lookback period, she will have to reimburse medicaid, as they will seek receive a lien. Sometimes the State will negotiate with you in conjunction with the hospital lowering their coded bills, but I don't see much of that happening in this situation.

U.S welfare system pays to raise dual-quad babies of an unemployed single mom with a total of 14 kids. News at 11. Also, illegal immigrants.
