Actually "Live Free or Die" is the best slogan. Much better than the "Empire State"...

The article was lame, except for NJ-- That one was classic, although my version of the NJ slogan would be "Not as corrupt as Louisiana":D

NY could be "Where even the Governor has to pay for it"

Louisiana could be "Not as corrupt as WV"

and WV could be "Not as corrupt as Chicago"

I guess that's better than: "Be financially Productive Within Your Society or Die"
