Large file transfer question

I want to transmit a 600 mb file to my brother. Not too concerned about the speed (I can do it overnight when I am sleeping). I would prefer a free program but I am open to paying a few bucks maybe. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You might consider uploading to mozy.com then he can download to his machine. Mozy is free.

Any instant messaging program. IM or MSN Messenger will work.

You can use FTP

Filezilla has both server and client appications, easy to use and free.

Oh and FTP, we get so caught up in the latest but forget about what they are based on it the first place.

Yeah, you could go the IM route.

Problem is with many of those methods, there is no recovery from error, and you may have to start over from nothing....

If it's run at night (assuming it's not a 2400 baud modem) it should be fine. I have sent compressed picture archives with no problem.

Thanks. I used this and it worked great. My brother happened to find another site called Sky Drive

http://windowslive.com/Online/SkyDrive

It allows 25G of storage on line.
