It all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is.

So does Palin belong to the class of people who's denomination 'is' AoG if she attended an AoG church for 36 yrs, still attends an AoG church in Juneau but attends an independent church in Wasilla?

She can belong to both. They're not mutually exclusive unless their union results in a contradiction no?

Perhaps we could put our local mindreader right on it.

According to the Roman Catholics, who love categorizing all things religious, she is post-denominational. Would the Catholics intentionally mislead us?

Well, the Catholic church certainly has an interest in the 'post-denominational' world, since in the 'pre-denominational' world, the Catholic church was all there was (from the official point of view). Catholics also have an interest in defusing the 'Pentecostal' designation because Pentecostals are stealing Catholic believers by the tens of thousands in South and Central America.

By the way, the guy whose blog you linked is a tongues-speaking non-Pentecostal. Does that make him a Pentecostal?

I was never an AoG member. I was a minister in an independent AoG church in Chicago for a short period of time. Independent AoG is a Scandinavian variant on the AoG.

Oh. You mean that what appears from the outside to be the same could be different on the inside?

I don't get your point. The fact that I was not a member of an AoG church does not mean I have not attended many and known and still know a lot of AoG people.

Do you think that people on the outside know the difference between the AoG's? Are all AoG's alike?

Why post a culturally relevant topic with profound implications regarding sensitive issues merely to reduce the dialogue to a pointless volley?

this is exuberantly irrational.

There is one common theme that unites them: they believe in speaking in tongues and what they call 'spiritual gifts'. This sets them apart from other fundamentalist or evangelical denominations on the conservative end of the Protestant spectrum. However, since the early 1960's speaking in tongues has spread from traditional Pentecostal denominations to lots of other Christian groups. The guy you linked appears to be an Anglican who speaks in tongues. Lots of Catholics now speak in tongues also so the influence of what began as a marginalized group of poor powerless Pentecostals has gone a long way.
The differences between Pentecostal groups is usually focused on issues of church governance or sometimes on the extent to which unusual experiences are from God or not. For instance, beginning in the 1980's groups of Pentecostals began rolling on the floor laughing during their church services. Some Pentecostals thought this was nuts or from the devil and others thought it was the newest 'Move of God'. A similar thing happened in the 1940's and 50's, splitting apart Pentecostals.

To bring it back on topic, it would be interesting to chart the growth patterns of Pentecostalism in the US with economic ups and downs. Pentecostals tend to me highly superstitious. Note that the blogger than Bot linked beliefs that Palin's choice as VP candidate was prophesized in advance by a christian with the spiritual gift of prophecy.
